Yukio Okamoto, a co-founder of Pacifica Fund, has more than thirty years of high-level business and government service. Well-versed in economic and government policy debates, he is a familiar figure both within Japan and within the U.S. government. Yukio is president of Okamoto Associates, Inc. (OAI), a strategic and business consulting firm (founded 1991) offering advice to international corporations and organizations on foreign investment, transnational mergers and acquisitions, technology sharing, and business culture issues. Yukio sits on a number of corporate boards, including Asahi Breweries, Mitsubishi Materials Corporation and Tokai-Tokyo Securities. He also serves on the external advisory commissions of NTT DoCoMo and Toshiba. In late September 2001, Yukio was named Special Advisor to the Cabinet and chairman of the Prime Minister's Task Force on Foreign Relations. A frequent contributor to leading Japanese newspapers and magazines, Yukio is an oft-quoted source for U.S. media. He is a graduate of Hitotsubashi University. |
