The Beeb on Internet advertising
Nice piece by Bill Thompson on the state of play in producer creativity and user rejection of Internet advertising. Also some pithy, on-point comments from readers. |

Interesting portable wireless server/AP Toshiba has announced what looks like a nice package of server, WiFi AP, and security, running Red Hat Linux. The fun part is that it's in a laptop form factor - a briefcase server. Maybe a little pricey at $1500, but looks like a very clean drop-in solution for a small office, even nicer for a remote work team that has to be mobile and secure, like auditors or subcontractors. If they'd defeature it a bit and drop the price, it could be nice for the home/home office WLAN users.
