Another RIAA boycotter

The Armed Liberal at Winds of Change is on my wavelength:

I'll stop buying new CD's from the majors.... I'll be shopping for used discs or discs sold directly by the artists for the forseeable future.

Just so. I don't steal music. But I don't buy it through major labels any more. That money is going to go to artists selling direct, to small concerts and festivals, to used shops. I respect the rights of the artists. I don't respect a distribution cartel that is willing to savage our rights and corrupt the political system to prop up an obsolete business model. I'm boycotting the RIAA. Please join me.

Emerging Sensor Connectivity Market

A profile on low-rent wireless connectivity startup Ember, at MIT Technology Review. (Disclosure on their behalf: Ember is an MIT spin-off, and they probably have equity in the company.)
